Payroll Specialist

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of the payroll process - making sure everyone gets paid accurately and on time - while keeping everything compliant with current laws and regulations.

What You'll Do:

• Maintain accurate payroll records, reflecting any updates in employee information or employment status.
• Ensure payroll processing aligns with current regulatory and compliance standards.
• Prepare and distribute payroll summaries and necessary payroll-related reports.
• Support the onboarding and payroll setup for new hires.
• Provide timely payroll documentation and communication to employees.
• Update and manage payroll systems to ensure accurate and efficient processing.
• Address employee questions about payroll processes.
• Collaborate with HR to streamline and enhance payroll-related processes.
• Monitor and implement payroll-related regulatory changes as needed.
• Complete, required annual payroll documentation and filings.

What You Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in payroll processing (1-3 years preferred).
• Knowledge of payroll software and systems (e.g., Codeworks or similar).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
