Litigation Lawyers

Job Description

Patrikios Legal is seeking to recruit two litigation lawyers with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and provide strategic legal advice.
  • Draft legal documents, pleadings, written statements, contracts etc.
  • Draft legal opinions, memos and articles.
  • Handle judicial and extrajudicial cases from the first meeting with the client until adjudication.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, conduct negotiations and handle/supervise legal transactions.
  • Appear before all levels of Courts.
  • Prepare cases and evidential material for hearings and conduct hearings for civil cases with minimum supervision.
  • Manage client relationships and communicate case updates.
  • Mentor and supervise junior lawyers and legal staff.
  • Effectively communicate and hold meetings with clients, adversaries, colleagues, banks, insurance companies, credit agencies, public authorities, public services and private entities.
  • Utilize legal tools such as Cylaw, Practical Law, Westlaw and legal textbooks.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to our practice areas.

Qualifications:

  • LLB (Bachelor of Laws).
  • LL.M. (Master of Laws) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) or Legal Practice Course (LPC).
  • Member of the Cyprus Bar Association.

Required Skills:

  • Fluency in written and spoken Greek and English.
  • Computer literacy (Outlook, word, excel, etc).
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience.
  • Experience in international cross-border disputes will be considered an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong negotiation and legal research skills.
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • A team player with proven team management skills.
