Head of Risk

FP Markets Group of Companies is a well-established globally regulated Australian broker offering traders access to CFDs across Forex, Indices, Commodities, Stocks and Cryptocurrencies. We are growing and looking to recruit a Full-time Head of Risk Department in our Cyprus office - a certified Great Place to Work®.

In this role you'll be at the forefront of managing and mitigating market risks to ensure the stability and success of our trading operations. This is a great opportunity to influence strategic risk management decisions, enhance departmental efficiency, and work closely with key stakeholders to maintain compliance and provide a seamless trading experience for our clients.

Reporting to: CEO

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage market risk, ensuring all actions are aligned with the company’s business policies
• Maintain accurate pricing and seamless execution of trades to provide the best trading experience for clients
• Develop and continuously improve procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness
• Foster and maintain strong professional relationships with the company’s counterparts to facilitate smooth operations and collaborations
• Support efforts to ensure that all operations comply with regulatory requirements and standards
• Generate and submit reports to partners, client relations, CySEC, including trade and income statements, PnL deals reporting, and futures rollover
• Monitor and hedge exposure, manage client switching, and terminate abusive trading practices.

Candidate Profile:

• Fluent English (additional languages will be an advantage)
• Extensive understanding of the forex trading environment and market mechanics
• Proficient in monitoring and managing market exposure to mitigate risks
• Strong ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, partners, and team members
• Proven leadership abilities to guide and inspire the team towards achieving company goals
• Excellent problem-solving abilities to address and resolve issues promptly and efficiently
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Strong team player with a collaborative approach to working with others to achieve common objectives.
