Job Description

We are seeking to hire an R&D Financial Assistant to join our team and provide support to the R&D department of the Company in relation to EU projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The employee’s responsibilities will be to provide assistance required by the R&D department of the Company. More specifically:

·        Handling the financial part of the European projects, including (preparation of timesheets, allocation of effort etc)

·        Providing information and supporting documentation to the European Commission related to each project upon request

·        Budget allocation on a time spent basis

·        Manage and reconcile the monthly financial expenses (including depreciation calculations)

·        Reconciliation of payments received by the EU and preparation of expected payments to be received

·        Coordination with external parties for provision of financial information

·        Handling highly sensitive and confidential financial information and documents ensuring they remain secure

·        Maintaining electronic and paper records ensuring information is well organized and easily accessible

·        Work closely and effectively with the Directors to handle the duties assigned and to keep them well informed of upcoming commitments and responsibilities, following up appropriately

Qualifications & Experience:

·        University degree in Accounting, Business Administration or any other related field

·        Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in a similar position.

·        Excellent command of written and spoken Greek and English languages

·        Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective interaction with senior management, stakeholders, staff, and external partners

·        Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills

·        Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment with excellent attention to detail

·        Excellent computer literacy, with Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel

·        Interpersonal skills and professional discretion.
