ICAP Executive Search on behalf of its client, a leading Information Technology Group, is seeking to recruit a high calibre Oracle Technical Architect to join their team.
Oracle Technical Architect (Ref. code: 6469/OTA/ESS/CY)
Location: Nicosia, Cyprus
Duties and Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will enhance the company’s Oracle Practice and further the related offerings based on Oracle technologies through Consulting Services and Presales engagements. More specifically, he/she will:
- Engage and implement the solutions delivery for various infrastructure, database, middleware, and Cloud solutions, based on Oracle technology
- Design, implement and support the Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and related options, e.g., Active Dataguard, Real Application Clustering (RAC), Partitioning, Advanced Security, Database Vault, Audit Vault and Database Firewall, Data Masking, Data Safe, Multitenant, Database in-memory, etc.
- Design, implement and support Oracle Cloud technology, including OCI and autonomous database solutions
- Provide consulting/services engagements for the design and implementation of complex solutions, within the company’s clientele including installations, implementations, upgrades, migrations, tuning, testing, backup/DR/high availability setup, and various other technical activities
- Provide technical and presales leadership for pilot projects, proof of concepts, test drives, demos, and technical presentations
- Introduce new services, Cloud engagements and support agreements, based on Oracle solutions, including bulk and ongoing Outsourcing Services for large organizations within Government, Banking, Telecommunications, Shipping and Forex industries.
- Drive the packaging of Oracle Cloud offerings, including blueprint, selection of solutions, definition, drill down, qualification and other aspects that are required
- Guide and lead the other members of the Oracle team to deliver professional services to the company’s clientele
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or any other related field
- Master’s degree in any related field will be considered as an advantage
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience as a Technical Architect with presales and implementation experience in Oracle-based solutions
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer
- In-depth knowledge of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition and related options, e.g., Active Dataguard, Real Application Clustering (RAC), Advanced Security, Database Vault, Audit Vault and Database Firewall, Data Masking and others
- Solid experience with Oracle Cloud technology, including design and implementations with OCI as well as Oracle Database Autonomous Solutions,
- Knowledge of Oracle Engineered Systems, like Exadata and ODA, will be considered as an advantage.

- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure 2021 Certified Architect Professional
- Oracle Solaris 11 Implementation Specialist
- Fluency in the English Language (both written and verbal)
