The Role:
Trading Operations Engineers form a vital part of Pepperstone’s commitment to its business users and clients. Maintaining system uptime and reliability is of the upmost importance. Through monitoring platforms, trading infrastructure, and our IT ticketing system the team maintains an overview of the company’s mission-critical systems. As part of this team, you will be responsible for identifying and resolving outages that may affect any of the client-facing IT systems including the Corporate Website, Trading Systems, and Secure Client Area.
This position requires practical knowledge of different types of trading systems provided by the Company, understanding of Pepperstone business model as well as demonstrating of developed skills set to manage trading infrastructure securely and efficiently.
Your key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Provide Tier 2&3 escalation and Operational support to the business
Monitoring of business-critical IT systems ( Trading Systems, Proxy servers, Windows servers, Bridge, Third-party applications, Website, Client Area)
Responsibility for the continuous operation and running of the MT4/ MT5 and cTrader, TradingView and other trading systems
Monitor system performance, availability, backup/restore, and continuity of trading platforms
Monitor the pricing of the products and resolve the pricing issues effectively
Handling of Operations tickets and requests in a timely manner considering the business sensitivity and urgency
Process of the corporate action & swaps
Conduct end-to-end trade investigations
Complete daily operational tasks as required by the business
Identify and resolve system outages promptly
Provide fast, effective, and efficient support to stakeholders throughout the business
About You:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Finance or any other related discipline
Excellent knowledge of the English language both written and oral is necessary.
At least 1 year experience in the same or similar role in online trading industry.
Hands-on experience with trading platforms, especially with MT4/MT5 and cTrader
Knowledge of Bridge Providers/FIX Engine, PXM, OneZero, etc will be considered as advantage
Knowledge of FIX API and FIX protocol will be considered an advantage
Knowledge of SQL queries will be considered an advantage
Flexibility with regards to work hours, weekend tasks, and shifts
