The ideal candidate will join a dynamic and fast paced working environment. The successful candidate will supervise the accounting and payments team within the finance department, and be responsible for the following tasks:
Responsibility over the timely and accurate maintenance of the company’s accounting ledger and other relevant books and records
Day to day accounting and bookkeeping tasks in accordance with company policies and procedures
Perform period-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries (i.e. bank reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations and updating the Fixed Asset Register)
Have primary responsibility for Financial Statement preparation in accordance with IFRS
Coordinate and supervise the accounting team to complete assigned accounting and supplier payments tasks within deadlines
Monitoring the submission of Vat, VIES, Tax returns and in general meeting all statutory compliance matters
Assisting with period end audits and external reviews and inspections
Accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CAT or equivalent).
Between 3-7 years’ working experience as an Accountant in a similar position in an international organisation
Excellent time management skills
Strong command of the English language
Comfortable working in a high pressure environment and working to strict deadlines
Previous experience in the forex industry will be considered an advantage but not essential
