Job Description

The  reports to the Managing Director of Cyprus & Malta and is part of the Leadership Team. The position works in close partnership with the Business Units/Leads, Medical, Regulatory, Finance and Compliance departments.


This position is pivotal in establishing and leading the company’s key priorities from a national policy perspective, working across the business to identify opportunities, barriers and solutions on access and uptake of medicines to patients.


Additionally, this role has an integrated vision on policy, market access & communication and is responsible for strategic stakeholder management and for managing an external affairs strategic plan which includes policy, market access and communication elements targeted at key audiences.


This position contributes to the Cyprus/Malta leadership team to ensure achievement of goals and strategic plans, including leading or participating in projects.


Key activities



  • Monitor and report healthcare legislative changes and provide management with regular policy stakeholder maps and environment updates, analysis and interpretation at a national policy level plus recommended responses/direction
  • Take a leadership role in building sustainable and effective relationships/networks with key external stakeholders
  • Develop our Company in Cyprus position statements consistent with Company’s policy on issues such as Innovation, Patent Issues, Pricing & Reimbursement and Health Economics as applicable
  • Ensure leadership role/active participation in the R&D Association task forces' efforts related to shaping pricing and reimbursement environment


Market Access

  • Develop and execute an integrated value, access and policy strategy in collaboration with business leads and regional functions as needed to optimize outcomes for our Company business
  • Anticipate changing payer landscape across the country by building and maintaining deep understanding of payers
  • In support of company objectives, develop and prepare recommendations for pricing and reimbursement strategies for both marketed and new products (actively participate in annual planning process)
  • Coordinate internal pricing and reimbursement processes related to the collection of all required information from marketing, medical, outcomes research and regulatory needed for appropriate reimbursement submission of our Company’s products in timely manner
  • Participate actively in reimbursement negotiations/discussions with MoH and NHS and other related bodies
  • Collaborate with our Company Regional Policy, Market Access, Pricing group etc. in order to find the best solution for customers and patients.



  • Initiate and/or drive the development of strategic and integrated public affairs campaigns and programs either alone as our Company and/or in conjunction with third parties to shape and drive changes in our Company’s key priority areas
  • Ensure execution of all activities related to communication (corporate & therapeutic as needed) including CSR Action Plan as per our Company Guidance
  • Ensure successful launch and maximize use of SoMe Assets in the country (corporate & therapeutic) as per the locally developed plan


Candidate Profile


Education & Experience

  • University Degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s)
  • Ideally 10-years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Very good understanding of the Healthcare environment (market & business context) and Health economics
  • Solid understanding and experience in policy and/0r market access
  • Proactive business approach with a creative and innovative mind-set
  • Prior management &/or leadership experience
  • Fluent in both Greek and English
