Job Description

A Research & Technology organisation based in Limassol, Cyprus is currently seeking an energetic and motivated Junior Innovation Manager. The successful candidate should hold a University degree from a well-established University, preferably in Engineering, Business Management disciplines or a relevant field of study. Postgraduate or Doctoral Degrees or Experience on Business or Product Management will be considered a plus (e.g MBA). Strong project management skills and experience in running European funded projects and/or submitting proposals/temders will be also a plus. Experience, Education or Backgroung relating to Energy will be an additional plus. Excellent working knowledge of English (written & oral) is mandatory.

Responsibilities/Main Duties

  • Implementation of Innovation Management Tasks for various EU or National funded projects including project Dissemination, Communication & products’ Exploitation and business plans.
  • Implement technical/research work according to assigned tasks mainly relevant to business model creation, market analysis, competition analysis etc.
  • Develop, review and control project deliverables coherent to high quality objectives/standards.
  • Participate in project conference calls and meetings, recording meeting minutes and ensuring timely completion of allocated tasks.

Other Requirements


  • 1-3 years in similar position (Innovation/Product/Business) in an engineering, management or consultancy company, developing business plans, marketing plans, commercialisation plans or dealing with Product development & Marketing.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in managing National or EU funded research projects, implementing dissemination & exploitation activities and drafting relevant plans will be a plus.
  • Experience in preparation/writing/submitting of high quality proposals in National or EU funding Instruments (Horizon2020, InterregMED, RESTART etc.) will be considered an advantage.


  • Strong project management, analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills and being familiar with Digital Communication Strategies and tools (websites, social media etc). 
  • Being familiar with developing Business Plans and with Business Model creation tools (Business Model Canvas, Value proposition Canvas etc), IP and IPR Stratagies, Market analysis methodologies and Competition analysis.
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Able to work independently and self-managed as well as being a Team player.
  • Strong presentation, organization and communication skills.
  • Excellent work ethic with commitment to the success of the team.
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Ability to cooperate with international partners and work across distributed/virtual teams.
  • Proven ability to manage tasks and issues, meet deadlines, follow through on commitments, and take corrective action in a proactive manner where appropriate.
